We stand for a participative public life in Brussels, and inclusive communes that are hospitable to all their inhabitants, incl. English as a functional
language of the communes, longer opening hours and promotion of e-services and digitalisation for the municipal administration.
We stand for clean air, clean streets, and clean transport in the Brussels communes and campaign for better urban planning with more emphasis on public spaces, safe mobility, and enhanced consultation of citizens. This should also include better cycling infrastructure in Brussels, expansion of separate bike lanes and a robust enforcement of traffic rules.
We stand for social cohesion, decent housing, support services for homeless people, and effective integration and we call for good schools, childcare facilities and other services for families.
To feel at home, one needs to know their neighbors. In Etterbeek, there are many Non-Belgians, who stay for just a few years. But to them, as well as for those who've always called Etterbeek their home, it is important to feel welcome and "at home". Thus, I believe people need to meet each other, get to know each other and live together, not only side by side. I would like to organise more opportunities for encounters and for meeting your neighbors.
